Frequently Asked Questions

I have more than one work, do I need to fill each one separately?

Yes, each artwork should be entered separately to a new form, indicating its unique information, such as measurements, etc.

How much do I have to pay as commission?

MutualArt does not charge any commission - the commission and additional charges will be determined by each auction house.

How long does this process take?

Finding the best offer for your artwork can take between 5 days and 1 month. Once you receive an offer from an auction house, the auction date might be up to 3 months ahead. In the meantime you will ship the work, have it photographed for the catalog and promoted for the big day. If you haven't received an offer yet and are no longer interested, please let us know.

Can I set a minimum price for my artwork?

MutualArt works with the top leading appraisals and auction houses. We will forward you only offers that we believe are suitable for your work. If you don't think the offer reflects your artwork’s value it might be that it's not the right time for you to sell it.

I am not able to upload the images to submit my artwork. What should I do?

Please simply process the whole artwork submission without uploading any images, and then send us the images as attachments in a separate email to support@mutualart.com.

I'm an artist. Can I submit my own work for sale?

MutualArt does not work directly with artists at this time.
